Eye Trauma 眼外伤

Dr. Wong has spent a considerable amount of time at a Level 1 Trauma Center managing injuries to the eye. If there is a foreign body on the surface of the eye or in the cornea, he has equipment in the office to remove it safely without any discomfort. Dr. Wong has successfully treated many patients who developed eye pain because a metallic speck fell into the eye while doing construction work. He has also managed patients who presented after blunt trauma, whether it’s from a ball, an exercise band, or even from an assault. Even after the injury has healed, it is important to have routine eye examinations, as glaucoma can develop months to years after the trauma. Being a fellowship-trained specialist, Dr. Wong has the expertise in monitoring for glaucoma after the injury.
