Dry Eye Disease

Dry Eye Disease 干眼症

Dry eye is very common condition that affects millions of Americans. The symptoms of dry eye include an uncomfortable gritty sensation, intermittent blurry vision, and redness. Dry eye can be caused by eye inflammation, eyelid oil glands being clogged, poor tear production, or decreased blink frequency from looking at a screen. In addition to artificial tears, dry eyes can be treated with prescription eye drops to control inflammation, punctual plugs to prevent tears from draining out too quickly, and heat treatment to the eyelids to unclog the oil glands. Dr. Wong can evaluate the causes of your dry eyes and select the appropriate treatment.
